made as a bridegroom coming out of his bride chamber,7 is now—to-day; tomorrow it will be yesterday. But yet this day extols the eternal Day born of the Virgin, for the eternal Day born of the Virgin has made this day holy. And now, with what words shall we praise the love of God? What thanks shall we give? He so loved us that for our sakes He, through whom time was made, was made in time; and He, older by eternity than the world itself, was younger in age than many of His servants in the world;
